Every year, Jebsen Consumer holds a Regional Sales and Marketing Meeting. The 2014 edition was held at Holiday Inn Express in Hong Kong for teams of the Consumer business unit to share their experiences and get up to speed on the business strategies for the coming year. The two-day meeting began with the finance team providing an overview of our 2013 performance – something we were all looking forward to! Sales and marketing leaders from Consumer Electronics, Health Care & Beauty (Men & Ladies), and Home Enrichment also took turns to present their 2013 business performance and 2014 sales and marketing plans.
Albert Chan, Managing Director of Jebsen Consumer likes to say, the regional meeting is a good opportunity for cross-Business Unit sales and marketing teams to benchmark and learn from one another. Through proactive sharing, we can enable synergy and inspire our teams to do even better. So, we are always encouraged to raise questions and voice our thoughts throughout the meeting and to participate actively in the breakout session where we tackled business challenges in groups.
As part of the meeting, we also had the prize presentation for the Jebsen Consumer Team Competition, which is designed to recognise and reward teams for achieving their business targets. I’m proud to say that the Consumer Electronics team took home the honours this year! Given that this is also my 10th year working at Jebsen, the award (a gold coin stamped with the Jebsen logo) was really a meaningful gift. Even though the 2013 consumer electronics market was tough, we had great leadership from our management team and a motivated team. I believe that is how we made it to the top – and what we will need in order to stay on top.
