Job Description

Purpose of the Job

  • The incumbent is responsible for sourcing, buying and merchandise planning of the assigned category. Acts as category owner to assist the team to formulate category merchandising strategy, sales forecast, reordering, SKU profiling to match store profile and negotiate purchase terms with vendors to maximize the productivity of category to ensure it is aligned to business goals and KPI.

Responsibilities

  • Identify potential opportunities and source for new products from local and overseas trade show, exhibition and internet to expand suppliers for wider range of merchandise offer
  • Manage assigned category business forecast, sales plan, OTB and inventory management to achieve the business goals
  • Build and maintain good relationship, negotiate purchase terms and promotion plan with suppliers
  • Formulate monthly promotion and event calendar, clearance plan and exit strategy for both online and retail stores
  • Monitor category replenishment and ensure PO delivery on time to minimize out of stock situation
  • Work closely with Marketing team to develop instore marketing event and promotional advertisement
  • Work closely with Ecommerce team for online merchandising strategy and ensure the proper execution of O2O customer experience
  • Coordinate with Retail team to ensure a proper execution of VM guideline and standard
  • Assist for customer enquiries on products information and complaint handling
  • Any ad hoc project as assigned

Requirements

  • Degree in business equivalent disciplines
  • At least 4 years’ working experience in merchandising or planning. With less experience will be considered as Merchandising Executive
  • Experience in mobile, gaming console or home appliance will be an advantage
  • Strong Analytical, organized and able to work independently
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
